About Logpose Instruments
Precision instruments for research measurement, made in India.
Logpose makes precision instruments for research laboratories: digital acquisition and processing, analog front ends, and optics. Designed and manufactured in India, built for research groups and instrument makers anywhere.
Why it matters
Most laboratory instruments arrive as closed boxes. The firmware cannot be changed, the channel count is fixed, and a measurement slightly outside the intended use becomes the user’s problem rather than the manufacturer’s.
We build the opposite. Moving the acquisition platform to a different measurement is a small, bounded change rather than a new design: a firmware build for the channel functions and the processing, and, where the signal needs different conditioning, a mezzanine card in front of it. The same carrier reads out gamma-ray detectors in one laboratory and performs lock-in detection on a THz spectrometer in another on that basis.
We also work directly with the people using the instrument rather than through a distribution chain, so the specification, the build and the support come from the same engineers.
Laboratories we work with
Our instruments have been developed alongside, supplied to, or validated at:
- Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai: lock-in amplifier, and gamma-ray detector readout with the 14-bit, 100 MSa/s digitiser and trapezoidal pulse-height firmware
- Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata: THz spectroscopy, validating the FPGA lock-in across the 0–3 THz band
- Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay: balanced photodiodes for THz time-domain spectroscopy, and a bullet speed measurement system
- Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru: balanced photodiodes for THz time-domain spectroscopy
- Teralumen, Chennai: TPX optics supplied to a THz spectrometer OEM
We are grateful for the continued partnership of these groups in advancing the platform.
